A beautiful way to support Special Needs Cobb
Homes with Heart brings together local artists, community members, and supporters of Special Needs Cobb for a one-of-a-kind celebration of creativity and community.
Each year, artists transform simple wooden birdhouses into original works of art. No two are alike—each reflects the personality, imagination, and style of the artist who created it. The finished birdhouses are then featured in our Homes with Heart online auction and displayed together during a special community exhibition.
Why “Homes with Heart?
For Special Needs Cobb, a house represents much more than four walls.
Since 1999, Special Needs Cobb has provided residential housing for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Today, 85 adults call one of our 23 group homes home. We are responsible for maintaining these homes and helping ensure they remain safe, comfortable, and welcoming places for the people who live there.
Homes with Heart celebrates that mission in a creative way. Every birdhouse helps tell the story of what a home can mean: belonging, stability, independence, connection, and community.
Proceeds from Homes with Heart benefit Special Needs Cobb’s group homes and help us continue providing quality housing for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Bid on Your Favorite Birdhouse
The Homes with Heart Online Auction opens October 13, 2026, giving you the chance to browse approximately 40 unique, artist-created birdhouses and bid on your favorites from anywhere.
The auction continues through our Homes with Heart exhibition on October 27. You do not need to attend the exhibition to participate in the auction or win a birdhouse.
