On August 15, 2026, Special Needs Cobb celebrated an extraordinary milestone—70 years of service to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.
Friends, families, residents, supporters, and community partners gathered at the historic Earl and Rachel Smith Strand Theatre for Up in Lights, an Old Hollywood-inspired evening honoring the people and stories that have shaped Special Needs Cobb since 1956.
From the red carpet and live music to shared memories and a look back at seven decades of impact, the evening was a celebration of where we’ve been—and the community that continues to carry our mission forward.
