The North Georgia State Fair recently celebrated its third annual Superior Plumbing Presents North Georgia State Fair Scholarship & Grant Awards Dinner with an dedicated to recognizing student achievement, supporting nonprofit organizations and investing in the future of Cobb County.
A total of $655,000 was awarded and pledged during the evening.
The North Georgia State Fair Scholarship Program recognized 10 exceptional high school seniors who have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to community service:
♦ 2026 $5,000 Scholarship recipients are Abigail Amos, Jonathan Baker, Katherine (Katie Rose) Coleman, McKayla Davis, Jada Emenalo, Olivia Hathcock, Karma Kilfoyle, Kaitlyn Ku, Samantha Kayley Lewis and Robert Warren.
In addition to student scholarships, the North Georgia State Fair awarded grants to nonprofit organizations that provide vital services and support throughout Cobb County.
♦ $15,000 Grant recipients are Circles Cobb, Cobb Christmas Inc., Cobb Collaborative, Cobb Journalism Fund, Cobb Sheriff’s Foundation, The Earl and Rachel Smith Strand Theatre, HEAL Atlanta, Loving Arms Cancer Outreach, Marietta Firefighters Support Fund, MDE School, Miss Cobb County Scholarship Program, MUST Ministries, Simple Needs GA, Special Needs Cobb and 10 Women of Hope.
♦ $20,000 Grant recipients are The Center for Family Resources, Waymark Foster and The Dave Krache Foundation.
♦ $35,000 Grant recipients are LiveSafe Resources and The Extension Inc.
♦ A $50,000 matching grant was also pledged to the Cobb Schools Foundation.
♦ Finally, $200,000 was donated to Cobb County Government, and allocated for improvements at Jim R. Miller Park.
The evening was once again hosted by Ike Reighard of Piedmont Church, whose leadership and enthusiasm helped make the celebration a memorable occasion.

Organizations interested in being considered for the 2027 North Georgia State Fair Community Grant Program may download an application from www.northgeorgiastatefair.com. Completed applications must be submitted to giving@northgeorgiastatefair.com no later than Dec. 31, 2026.
Applications for the 2027 North Georgia State Fair Scholarship Program will be available beginning Jan. 1, 2027, on the Fair’s website.
The 2026 Superior Plumbing Presents North Georgia State Fair will take place Sept. 24 to Oct. 4, 2026, at Jim R. Miller Park in Marietta, featuring this year’s theme, “Fair Nights Under Stars and Stripes.”
