Special Needs Adults Walk the Red Carpet at Sparkle & Style Event

MARIETTA, GA (May 7, 2026) — On April 25, Special Needs Cobb, a local non-profit with a 70-year history, welcomed more than 130 guests to Holy Family Catholic Church in Marietta for its annual Sparkle & Style Fashion Show, Luncheon and Auction—a joyful afternoon celebrating dignity, belonging, and community in support of adults with special needs in Cobb County.

This year’s event raised $30,504.36 to benefit Special Needs Cobb’s 23 group homes, where adults with special needs are given more than shelter—they are given safety, stability, dignity, and the kind of care families spend a lifetime hoping to find for the people they love most. Guests enjoyed an afternoon of fashion, fundraising, and connection, highlighted by a runway show featuring 14 stunning models—some residents of Special Needs Cobb homes and others longtime friends of the organization—who lit up the room with confidence and pride. Fashions were provided by local East Cobb boutique, Casabella, and guests were treated to a special appearance by Kessler Kunkel, Miss Magnolia’s Teen. “This event is such a beautiful reflection of what Special Needs Cobb is all about—community, dignity, and celebrating the unique light in every person we serve. Legacy isn’t just what we leave behind—it’s the light we pass forward,” said Debbie Day, CEO of Special Needs Cobb. “To watch our resident models step onto that runway so proudly was incredibly moving. These are the moments that remind us why this work matters so deeply.”

Guests were also treated to a luncheon prepared by the dedicated members of the Cobb Area Civitan Club and other generous volunteers.

In addition to the fashion show, guests enjoyed a silent auction and raffle, with proceeds directly supporting the safety, comfort, and quality of life of the adults served by Special Needs Cobb. Special Needs Cobb extends its sincere thanks to presenting sponsor Cobb EMC Foundation, Event Chair Carolyn Polakowski, as well as the many local businesses, sponsors, donors, and volunteers who made Sparkle & Style possible.
